Seafood Green Onion Pancake

Wonny (Seowon)

Try out this popular Korean dish that is both sweet and savoury.


Ingredients:

  • 1-2 cups of an assortment of seafood (Squid, shrimp, mussels, oysters, clams, etc. )

  • A handful of green onion

  • 1 cup Korean pancake mix (Buchim Garu)

Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce

  • 2-3 tsp vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp water

  • Pinch of black pepper

  • ½ tsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Wash a handful of green onion, seafood and drain excess water. Dry ingredients using a paper towel.

  2. Cut the green onion into 2-3 inch pieces.

  3. In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of pancake mix with 3/4 cup of cold water and whisk it. Add cleaned seafood and cut spring onion and mix all together.

  4. Heat a pan over medium-high heat with vegetable oil, ladle the mixture into the pan, and spread evenly into a thin round shape. Cook 3-4 minutes. Turn it over and cook for another 3-4 minutes. (Add more oil around the edge if needed)

  5. Mix all ingredients for dipping sauce using a spoon.

  6. Serve hot off the pan with dipping sauce.
