Applesauce Vegan Waffles

Looking for a fall vegan waffle recipe? Try out these applesauce vegan waffles for a tasty fall recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups flour (whole wheat, or all-purpose)

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • pinch of mineral salt

  • 1¼ cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce

  • ¼ cup non-dairy butter, margarine or oil

  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat waffle maker. Preheat oven to 200°F, to keep the waffles warm.

  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt, mix well. Add in the non-dairy milk, applesauce, butter/oil, and vanilla, mix well, until most of the flour lumps are gone.

  3. Using a ½ measuring cup, scoop up batter and pour in the centre of the heated waffle maker plate. Close the cover and wait until the light turns green.

  4. Gently remove and place waffles on a wire rack in the preheated oven until the remaining waffles are made.

Serves: 4
