Besides being the most delicious thing on the face of the earth this banana bread is also one of the first successful baking adventures I ever had. I have made this banana bread countless times and for almost all of my friends. Everyone who has tried a piece instantly asks for the recipe to the point where I have the original copy of it on my phone so I can send it to whoever wants the recipe.

Ingredients:
1 cup white sugar
½ cup oil
2 large eggs
4 large ripe bananas (2 cups mashed bananas)
3 Tbsp sour cream
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
optional: 1 cup chocolate chips, chopped pecans, or walnuts
Directions:
Mix sugar and oil well with an electric beater.
Beat eggs into sugar and oil mix.
Mash bananas and beat into sugar / oil / egg mixture.
Combine sour cream and soda in a cup and add slowly to mixture while beating with mixer. (Use high setting to get as much air into mixture as possible). Beat well.
Add all of the flour and stir in with a spoon. Do not over mix!!!
Add in chocolate chips, pecans or walnuts at this point if desired. Either add them in layers or add on top before putting mixture into the oven.
Grease and flour pan and pour the mixture in.
Bake in a 350°F, pre-heated oven for approximately 55 minutes (cook for longer if needed). Let cool for approximately 15 minutes in a pan and then remove.
Serves: 6-8
This banana bread looks sooo good! You should make it for your aunt (you know which one)…just sayin’!
