Banana bread is a staple favourite at my home. My grandmother often makes 2 to 3 batches
together, keeping in mind how quickly everyone at home devours it. There is just something
so comforting about it, to me it's almost like the food equivalent of a warm hug. It's simple and easy to make, but one can also play around with the recipe and add chocolate chips, almonds, pecans and so on.

Ingredients:
3 bananas
1 egg
2 cups flour
1¼ cups sugar
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup walnuts
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to a bowl.
In another bowl mix the egg, sugar, vanilla extract and oil until it is combined well.
Add the wet mixture into the dry mixture.
Mash the bananas well, and add the milk. Incorporate the bananas in the mixture.
Add in the walnuts and pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
Put the tray in the oven and bake it for approximately 50-75 minutes, until you can pluck a toothpick inside the batter and it comes out clean.
Let it cool, cut into slices of the desired size and enjoy!
Serves: 8
