Ingredients:
1 lb ground chicken
½ cup black beans, drained and slightly mashed
½ cup cooked white rice, cooled
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp onion powder
1 egg, beaten
½ cup shredded cheese
Salt & pepper, to taste
6 hamburger buns
6 cheese slices
*Top burger with any other toppings
Directions:
In a large bowl gently combine the ground chicken, black beans, rice, all the spices, egg, and grated cheese.
Use your hands to get in there and give it a good mix.
Form chicken into 6 equal sized patties and season with salt and pepper on each side.
Grill the patties over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the centre is no longer pink (165°F).
Place each cooked burger on a toasted hamburger bun, top with a slice of cheese and any other topping you choose and enjoy!
