Coffee and chicken. Two things that seem like they should not mix but make a wonderful sauce for dinner. My mom has made this dish for my family for years and everyone loves it. The way I can tell if a recipe is good is if the recipe has sauce and stains on it. I can confidently say that this recipe has so much sauce on it, that this digital copy might have to be used soon.

Ingredients:
¼ cup brewed coffee
¼ cup ketchup
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
4 chicken legs (2 lb /1 kg), skinned
Directions:
In small saucepan or microwaveable measure, combine coffee, ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and lemon juice; bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 4-5 minutes. (Or microwave at high for 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbling, then at medium/50% for 2 minutes, stirring once.)
Arrange chicken in single layer in shallow baking dish; pour sauce over chicken. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for 1 to 8 hours.
Bake in 375°F oven for 45 to 50 minutes, basting often with sauce, or until golden brown and juices run clear when chicken is pierced with fork.
Serves: 4
Coffee chicken sounds like such a unique and flavorful dish! I love recipes that have been passed down and well-loved over the years. I bet using a dark roast blend adds a rich, deep flavor to the sauce definitely trying this soon. Thanks for sharing this family favorite! ☕🍗✨
