Looking for a sweet and different type of pancake? Try out this German style of pancake!
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1½ Tbsp granulated sugar
1 pinch of salt
¾ cup milk, warm
2 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup vanilla extract
3 Tbsp butter (1 Tbsp melted)
Powdered sugar, for serving
Sliced strawberries, for serving
*Feel free to top with whatever you like
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Combine the eggs, granulated sugar, salt, warm milk, vanilla, flour, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter in a blender or food processor until smooth.
Preheat oven safe skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes. Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the pan. Pour the batter into the heated skillet and then immediately and carefully move the skillet into the oven.
Bake for 25-30 minutes. It is done when the pancake achieves a rich amber colour and the sides have risen considerably.
Carefully remove the pancake from the skillet and let the pan cool slightly on a wire rack.
Serve warm with powdered sugar and sliced strawberries. Enjoy!
