Ingredients:
1 cup of uncooked short-grain rice
1 can (4 oz) of tuna in brine
5 cups of water
1 carrot
1 zucchini
1 green onion
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp fish sauce
½ tsp salt
Roasted sesame seeds (optional)
Roasted seaweed (crumbled) (optional)
Directions:
Dice 1 carrot and 1 zucchini and chop the green onion.
Warm 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and saute 1 cup of rice, diced carrot, and zucchini until the rice begins to turn transparent.
Add 5 cups of water and 1 can of tuna. Turn the heat to low, cover the pot with the lid, and cook for 40-50 minutes. Check and stir it occasionally and add more water if needed
Add 1 teaspoon of fish sauce and ½ teaspoon of salt. Then stir.
Garnish with crumbled seaweed and sesame seeds if desired.
Pour the porridge into a bowl and serve warm.
