  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 tsp dried parsley

  • 2 Tbsp milk

  • 1½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese

  • 1 can (29oz) pasta sauce

  • 1 lb bow-tie pasta, cooked

Directions:

  1. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, milk, ½ teaspoon salt, and ⅛ teaspoon pepper in a large bowl.

  2. Use your hands to mix in the seasoning with the meat.

  3. Form the meat into 1 ½ -2 inch meatballs and set aside.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta, parmesan, and remaining salt and pepper and stir together.

  5. Pour mixture into a large ziplock bag.

  6. Grab the meatballs and use your finger to gently push a hole in the middle of each one, making sure not to push all the way through.

  7. Snip off the end of the ziplock bag and squeeze a little bit of the cheese mixture into the hole of each meatball.

  8. Pinch the meatball shut around the cheese mixture making sure that none of it is exposed.

  9. Pour half of the pasta sauce into the bottom of a slow cooker and gently place the meatballs inside. Cover with remaining pasta sauce and cook, covered, on low for 6 hours.

  10. Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked pasta and top with any leftover cheese filling.
